Each of the lawyers in our firm have been practicing for more than 30 years. We use that experience to help our clients achieve their goals.
Eric has been practicing law in the Gresham area since 1973. His practice emphasizes, commercial and residential real estate transactions, business and corporate law, and estate planning and probate . He received his bachelor’s degree from Willamette University and his law degree from Lewis & Clark Law School. He is a member of the Oregon State Bar family law sections as well as a member of the Multnomah Bar Association. Eric is a member of the Gresham Rotary Club and serves on the Mt. Hood Medical Center Foundation board. He is a past member of the Gresham-Barlow school District Foundation and board, the Mt. Hood Community College Foundation board and the Orient School District board. He has also assisted with the Mt. Hood Jazz Festival. Eric enjoys water and snow skiing, hunting, fishing, golfing, hiking, and running.
Jay's practice emphasizes representing closely held businesses, real estate, estate planning and representing nonprofit organizations. He received his bachelors degree from The Evergreen State College, a law degree from Lewis & Clark Law School and an LLM in taxation from the University of San Diego Law School. Prior to law school, Jay served as a paramedic and fireman in Washington and as a fire chief in Oregon. He served with the US Air Force as a journalist, and has also been a commercial pilot and flight instructor. He is a member of the Oregon State Bar business law, and estate planning sections. He teaches courses on business and business law through Mt. Hood Community College . He has served as legal counsel to a number of local nonprofit organizations. He enjoys racing sailboats, biking and hiking.
Richard Todd
Richard Todd has practiced law in the State of Oregon for over 40 years. His primary emphasis has been trial work, including personal injury and wrongful death, business, real estate, and domestic relations. He has conducted jury trials throughout the State of Oregon in both State and Federal courts. In addition to managing his own practice, he has previously been a Deputy District Attorney for Multnomah County and General Counsel for a large Beaverton-based corporation. Richard was born and raised on the Oregon Coast. He attended Oregon State University where he graduated with honors. After graduation, he attended Lewis and Clark Law School where he worked during the day as an investigator for the oldest law firm in Oregon. His prior employment is wide-ranging, from disc jockey to mill worker. He has also authored a book and several magazine articles, and continues to sit on the board of directors of several Oregon-based corporations. He prides himself on frequent communication with all his clients and prompt response to telephone calls and email inquiries. He brings a “Blue Collar” philosophy to a “White Collar” profession. Richard’s goal is to provide his clients with the knowledge and experience expected of large law firms without the exorbitant price. His primary interest is the representation of those who have been wronged, be it personal injuries, abuse, fraud, or breach of contracts. In every case his goal is twofold: (1) To guide his clients through the legal process and thereby reduce their stress, and (2) to be effective and to produce results.
